Ubisoft E3 Conference Review

Ubisoft started out their conference with a marching band type performance and I think it is safe to say that we could do without the theatrical elements that have become common in these conferences. It is kind of like the Superbowl where in everyone just fucks off during the halftime performance because no one gives a shit.

That said the Ubisoft Conference delivered on some solid additions to existing franchises along with a couple new IP’s.

The most anticipated game of their conference by far had to be Assassins Creed Odyssey and I am not sure if it will live up to the hype. It seems like Ubisoft again is taking two years to deliver on this new game just as they did for Origins, which I am glad to see and applaud them for doing so. Upon first glance of the the trailer however it looks to have many of the same aesthetic and mechanical elements from Origins, which is concerning. During the game play trailer you can see right off the bat that there are “Mercenaries” which are the exact same as the¬†Phylakes in Origins. The weapon and armor systems also looks to be exactly the same, as well as the combat system. That said I think the game looks great and I cant wait to spartan kick the shit out of some Greeks.

Following I have listed a comprehensive compilation of all the games and their trailers that were released during the Bethesda conference.
